THE MOVEMENT
Essence of the Movement

Reclaim Attention:
Our attention has been captured and commodified. Real Worlders take it back and direct it intentionally for ourselves, our communities, and the planet.
Presence is Power:
A distracted society is weak; a present society is unstoppable. What we give our attention to grows and becomes our reality.
Not Anti-Tech, Pro-Intentional Use of Tech:
Technology is incredible; it has enabled us to do so many amazing things. But we must evaluate its effect when interacting with it, or risk becoming lost. We use tech with purpose, never letting it master us.
Keep Humans Human:
We resist turning into machines. Connection, feeling, and vulnerability are irreplaceable foundations of our humanity.
Discomfort as Growth:
Avoiding discomfort prevents our individual and collective evolution. Real Worlders see discomfort as the forge of strength, resilience and depth.

Attention Can be Rebuilt:
We recognise that our capacity to be present, attentive and focused can be improved with practice and systems.
Community as a Core Value:
We are wired for connection. A positive view of life comes through being part of community, not living in isolation. Social anxiety touches everyone, but capability is built by practicing presence with others. Real Worlders commit to strengthening social skills, creating bonds, and building the kind of communities that help us thrive.
Nature as Home:
The natural world is not optional, it’s our fundamental ground and a vital part of our survival and joy. We biologically need to be in touch with it for our own well-being.
Creation Over Consumption:
We prioritise creation and doing over passive consumption. Real Worlders create art, relationships, communities and change.
Time is Non-refundable:
Every moment lost to distraction is gone forever. We refuse to trade our lives and our capacity to make them great for constant comfort. We recognise our greatest memories are never on screen.

Slowing Down with Patience:
We slow down to cultivate patience. Patience is required to create, to connect, and to fully experience the richness of life.

Beyond Productivity:
We are not here to optimize every moment or fuel hustle culture. Our goal is not to go faster, but to live more, to savor presence, relationships, and the simple beauty of being alive.

Deep Work: We recognise that in order to achieve anything we must be able to have deep focus for extended period and we practice this consistently.
Generational Impact:
Our choices ripple forward. We walk intentionally toward futures we wish to create. Every moment and our choice of how to use it is brimming with potential

Creating New Social Norms:
Real Worlders are bravely leading the charge on creating new social norms around how we collectively use tech.
